Our Inukshuk Blog Awards:
For those who are unfamiliar with what the Inukshuk mean or what it is all about, here is a background story about the Inukshuk:
Inukshuk (ee-nook-shook or ee-nook-sook) is an Inuktitut word that means to look like a person (an Inuk). They are stone monuments erected in the image of humans and have been used by the Inuit people of Canada to mark high points of land, good hunting and fishing spots or the way home.
Inuit have been building Inuksuit (ee-nook-soo-eet / plural) for thousands of years. They were a tool of survival and symbolizes the unselfish act of a nomadic people, - the Inuit - who built them as markers and signposts to make the way easier for those who followed.
The Inukshuk image has been chosen by Canada to be the 2010 Winter Olympics to held in Vancouver. We also picked the Inukshuk as our symbol for the blogs we like.

Hello,
There is a good reason why I have the New Canadian Blog among my favorite listed on linkreferral.com.
Everytime I visit I learn something new and interesting. Thanks so much for that story about the invention of the Inukshuk, I would never have known what it means and why it is being used as a symbol for the upcoming Vancouver 2010 Olympics.
I am a Artist/Graphic Designer and all around Creative person, and interested in all kinds of artistic expressions and new stuff. My blog is for everyone and is positive, and I cover different subjects that are of interest to anyone.
I also have another website of my own Handcrafted Greeting Cards at:
http://www.adnelg-creations.com
Visit my Blog and see if I you would consider me for a Inukshuk award. I am already listed among your favorites on Linkreferral.com.
Wishing you much success, and thanks again for that information. As always I will be visiting the New Canadian Blog to see what’s new.
Regards,
Glenda Brill
