Express Entry Visa. Immigration Canada has recently announced that it will begin instituting the Express Entry Visa Program as early as May of 2015. This program will speed up the process of applications for Skilled Immigrants.
There are four programs for skilled immigrants that qualify for the express entry visa. These are the Federal Skilled Workers, Federal Skilled Trades, Canadian Experience Class and Business class.
“For the express entry visa program, Immigration Canada uses a grid of 100 points to assess how well an applicant will adapt to Canada’s labour market. The grid looks at factors such as: education, work experience and English or French skills. Applicants must meet: the pass mark of 67 out of 100 points and admissibility requirements”
Immigrants with foreign credentials can also take advantage of the Foreign Credential Recognition Program sponsored by the Government of Canada to help them go through the process of education upgrade and licensing to meet Canadian regulatory standards.
